Politics on police encounter in Sultanpur

You must have seen the video of the robbery that took place in the shop of a bullion businessman in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh on August 28. One of the criminals involved in the incident was killed in the encounter, while three criminals were arrested in the ‘half-encounter’. Now the caste of criminals is being discussed more than robbery. Because Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav has alleged that police are killing people on the basis of caste.

The case is dated 28th August. Masked criminals entered Bharat Jewelers located at Ghantaghar in the city and looted. As soon as the video of this robbery came out, the police department from Sultanpur to Lucknow was in a frenzy. Separate teams were formed and raids were conducted in several districts in search of the dacoits. The police also identified the robbers. Meanwhile, on September 3, the police arrested Sachin Singh, Pushpendra Singh and Tribhuvan in a semi-encounter.

Durgesh Singh surrendered as soon as the reward was announced

After the arrest of the three accused, the police announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh on the remaining 10 accused (Anuj Pratap Singh, Furkan, Arbaaz, Vinay Shukla, Mangesh Yadav, Ankit Yadav, Ajay Yadav, Arvind Yadav, Vivek Singh and Durgesh Singh). On September 4, the day after the reward was announced, the main accused Durgesh Pratap Singh dramatically surrendered in court. Within 24 hours of Durgesh’s surrender, the police confronted Mangesh Yadav.

Akhilesh’s question on Mangesh Yadav’s encounter

Akhilesh Yadav made a big allegation only after the encounter with Mangesh Yadav. He says, ‘It seems that the ruling party had close contacts with those involved in the Sultanpur robbery, that’s why before the fake encounter the main accused was approached and made to surrender and the other party people were only shot in the leg and Seeing this, the caste was killed.

Former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav further said, ‘When the prime accused has surrendered, all the looted goods should also be returned in full and the government should give separate compensation as it takes a long time to recover from such mental trauma. Incidents causing loss of business, which should be compensated by the government… Fake encounters turn guards into poachers… The solution is not fake encounters, but real law and order.

Accusing the Yogi government, Akhilesh Yadav said, ‘BJP rule is the nectar of criminals… Till the public pressure and anger reaches its peak, complicity in looting continues and when it seems that the public is under siege, it is only a fake encounter. There is a pretense of putting on… the public understands how some people are saved and others are trapped… it is highly reprehensible.

BJP responded to Akhilesh

BJP has attacked SP on this tweet of Akhilesh. In response to Akhilesh Yadav’s question on the encounter, BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi said, ‘Akhilesh ji gets hurt when a criminal gets hurt, it often happens between brothers… Akhilesh ji gets restless after every encounter… Akhilesh ji feels the criminal. More misery happens when they belong to the same caste… There is no mercy for criminals in the Yogi government.
