A strange opposition from a Bengal doctor.
Protests by junior doctors at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital over the rape and murder of a trainee doctor are still ongoing. Junior doctors are on strike demanding justice. Protests are being held in various parts of the state, including Kolkata, but a doctor in Raiganj, North Dinajpur, far away from Kolkata, is protesting the RG car incident in his own way.
A doctor’s first oath is to serve the people. Dr. in Ukilpada, Raiganj. Debbrat Roy is refusing to back down from that oath under any circumstances.
What happened to the medical student in RG, the brutality cannot be erased from the mind in any way. So they have adopted a new method of protest. He did not go on strike. Instead, he sees patients and prescribes medicines for patients. On his prescription he writes that RG needs justice, criminal gangs need to be destroyed.

This is the doctor’s silent protest. He said, “The patients who come to us are like our own. We also belong to them. Therefore, we are voicing our protest through patients.
Debbrat Roy’s recipe has gone viral on social media. Everyone is praising him. They neither strayed from the pledge nor forgot the language of protest. Devbrat Roy said that the incident of 9th August. 20 days passed, investigators changed from police to CBI, but still no exemplary action.
Even after 20 days, justice has not been served
Like Debbrat Roy, some other doctors in Raiganj are also silently protesting. Debbrat Roy said, “I would call this incident a tragic murder. The way the demolition or investigation is going on in the hospital, I don’t understand what is going to happen. 20 days have passed but we have not seen any positive side yet. In such a situation we are frustrated and disappointed. That is why we are protesting silently.
