A strange case of triple talaq has come to light in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly. Here a young man started a drug business by selling dowry items. When his wife protested, the accused first held her hostage and after three days took her to her parents’ house and divorced her. Now the victim’s wife has filed a police complaint against the accused. Based on this complaint, the police have registered a case and started investigation. The case belongs to Thiriya Nijawat Khan of Cantt Police Station area of ​​Bareilly.
In a police complaint, the married woman, a resident of Kalri village under Ijjatnagar police station area, said that on January 15 last year, she got married to Hafeez Khan, a resident of Thiria Nijawat Khan. In this marriage, her father gave jewelery and cash as demanded by the in-laws. Recently her husband Hafeez Khan along with family members Jamil and Shafiq sold dowry items, jewelry etc for Rs 5 lakh without asking her.
Held hostage for three days
When he protested, the accused said that now he will deal in drugs. When the married woman objected, the accused beat her and locked her in a room. In her complaint, the victim said that after three days, the accused took her to her maternal uncle’s house and ended the relationship by saying ‘talaq’ three times. The victim said that after the incident, her family members tried hard to convince the accused, but the accused refused to stay with her.
Divorced for opposing drugs
Frustrated, the victim has lodged a police complaint. Police have registered a case based on the complaint of the victim and started searching for the accused. According to the police, the accused are absconding from the house. According to the married woman, the accused has bought two packets of drugs several times from the drug mafia and is earning money by selling them. When she protested this, the accused sentenced her to divorce.
