Johnny Lever is the undisputed king of the comedy world. He has made people laugh a lot with his comedy in films. Many times people watch his comedy videos separately. Many good comedians have failed before him. The comedy king turned 67 on August 14. He has been ruling the hearts of people for the past 4 decades with his energetic comedy. But do you know that Johnny, who was born in the year 1957 in the family of ‘Hindustan Liver’, in his life sometimes worked in liquor shops for money and sometimes also sold pens on the road.
Johnny came from a poor family. The situation at home was so bad that he could not even complete his studies. He studied only till 7th standard and then started working to run a household. But he was fond of watching movies and acting since his childhood. At the age of 15 he started selling pens on the streets. He disclosed this in an interview.

The idea of selling pens was given to Johnny by one of his friends. He worked as a pen seller for 3 to 4 months. Referring to this, Johnny once said that when he first started selling pens. At that time he used to earn 20-25 rupees a day. But after this, he started selling pens by imitating artists’ voices, and he started earning 250 to 300 rupees.
Work done on contract
Not only did Johnny work as a pen seller on the street, but he also worked on contract before entering the film world. He also said in the same interview that he used to work at a liquor store after coming back from school. He said, ‘We lived in a slum, so after coming back from school I used to work in a liquor store. Whatever money I got, I used to spend it on household expenses. He also once said that his father was a heavy drinker. That is why the situation in his house was worse. He also had to borrow money from his uncle for the household ration.
