National Conference leader Omar Abdullah

All political parties are busy campaigning vigorously ahead of the first phase of polling in Jammu and Kashmir. National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah targeted the BJP while addressing an election rally in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. Abdullah said that you must be hearing a slogan that BJP people are chanting at every rally – double engine government, i.e. single party rule at center and state. Then there will be rapid development in the state.

He said, but in Jammu and Kashmir we are seeing their double engine government for the last 10 years. BJP is directly or indirectly ruling the state since 2014. In the initial phase Mohammad Saeed was the Chief Minister, then Mehbooba Mufti was also the Chief Minister with the support of BJP. After this, the BJP ruled the state through the governor and lieutenant governor. Be it Satpal Malik or Girish Chandra Murmu or current Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha. All these people are working only on the direction of BJP and you must have seen that these people have not helped the people of Jammu and Kashmir in any way.
