People say that the absence of actor Divyandu Sharma from the show has affected season 3 a lot.
His popular character Munna Bhaiya retired with ‘Mirzapur 2’. Fans saw the end of Divyandu’s role and he didn’t come back in the third part. Fans say that Munna Bhaiya should return for the fourth season. Regarding this, Anand Iyer said that there is a fine line between such expectations and the script. However, while talking to Humans of Bombay earlier this year, Divyandu said that the character was affecting his personality. He says that we should not go too deep into a character and overdo it, because it is not easy. At times, it became too dark for me. I felt suffocated.
‘Mirzapur 3’ received mixed reviews
The director said that many people are still liking the show. He further admitted that many fans are expressing themselves emotionally. But he feels that it is related only to the character and not to the web series Mirzapur.
At the same time, regarding Season 4, he says that the demand for it somehow makes me believe that the show is being picked up. He later said that season 3 was delayed due to covid, but now things are on track. The love that the team of ‘Mirzapur’ has got is moving towards season 4. However, he has not given any update regarding the return of Munna Bhaiyya’s character.
