Snake venom case: Elvish Yadav caught in money laundering case, ED summons Lucknow for questioning

Troubles could be brewing for YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Siddharth Yadav aka Elvish Yadav. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued summons to Elvish in a money laundering case related to his party’s use of banned snake venom. ED has summoned the YouTuber to Lucknow on July 23 for questioning. Earlier ED had given notice to Elvish and summoned him on July 8, but he sought a few days time saying he was abroad.

In May, the ED registered a case against Elvish Yadav under the Money Laundering Act. The UP Police registered an FIR against Elvish Yadav and others concerned and also filed a chargesheet. Taking note of this, the ED registered a case.

The ED has this week questioned Rahul Yadav alias Rahul Faizalpuria, who is associated with Elvish Yadav, in this case. Officials say Faizalpuria may be called for questioning again. The ED is investigating money laundering and use of illegal money for rave parties.

Elvish was arrested in March

Elvish Yadav was arrested by the Noida police on March 17 this year on charges of using snake venom as drugs at rave parties. The police also registered a case against Elvish under the NDPS Act. In this matter, a case was registered against 6 people including Elvish in Noida Sector 49 Police Station in November last year. The case has been filed by an NGO People for Animals. The remaining five accused were also arrested in the case and later all were released on bail.

Elvish Yadav is a famous YouTuber. He has 15 million i.e. more than 1.5 crore subscribers on YouTube. Last year, Elvish became a part of Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss OTT Season 2. He defeated Abhishek Malhan to capture the trophy of the reality show.
