Today’s date is June 27. This day is celebrated as World Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Day i.e. MSME Day. Today, as per Enterprise Portal data in India, there are around 1.28 million registered MSMEs, providing employment to 9.31 million people, including 2.18 million female employees. These traders also get a lot of help from online platforms.

There was a growth of 70%.

According to the English website Financial Express, sellers are receiving training and assistance for MSMEs under Walmart Vriddhi’s Supplier Development Program (Walmart Vriddhi). The report says that sales through Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale have seen over 70 percent growth year-on-year. Walmart Vriddhi, launched in 2019, said it has empowered 58,000 MSMEs across the country, providing them with the devices and training required to thrive in the digital age. Most importantly, there is no charge for it.

Walmart says the program is operated through a digital training model. This model has been designed taking into account small merchants associated with MSMEs. Therefore, MSMEs participating in the training can complete it at their convenience while managing their business. This course is a detailed package that covers all aspects of business management.
