Police present at the scene
At around 12.30 pm near Etawah railway station, the brother-in-law stabbed his own daughter-in-law to death. This murder was done day by day because of love and emotion. After this carnage, sensation has spread across the city. On receiving the information about the murder, police forces from several police stations besides senior police officers and a forensic team reached the spot. A CCTV video related to the murder has also surfaced, in which the accused youth kills his brother-in-law from a tea shop, brings him injured and throws him in the middle of the road. However, the entire incident of murder was captured in the CCTV installed in the tea shop. Police have taken possession of the DVR. The killer was enraged by his brother-in-law’s words. His in-laws of the killer’s wife had remarried.
According to information, Neeraj Maurya, who carried out the murder, is said to be a resident of Bareilly. But for about 15 years he ran a plant nursery on the back wall of the Etawah District Jail. Neerj is said to have married Monu Yadav’s son Jugramau’s sister on 23 January 2023. But the family members of the deceased Monu filed a case of forced marriage under the POCSO Act at the Friends Colony police station in the city. Before the court, Monu’s sister expressed her desire to go with her family. After which Monu’s family arranged the girl’s second marriage. But the killer Neeraj kept calling the girl. Monu refused for this. Meanwhile today the killer Neeraj called Monu and killed him.
Forensic team reached the spot
After the murder, the forensic team reached the spot for investigation. Apart from this, the police of many police stations including Etawah Senior Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar, SP City Abhay Nath Tripathi, CO City, Amit Kumar Singh, SDM Vikram Singh Raghav reached the spot. There was commotion around the railway station for about 2 hours over the murder.
Attacked twice in the abdomen and once in the neck.
Etawah Senior Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar said that while the youth who was stabbed to death has been identified as Neeraj Maurya, the sensational killing took place at a tea stall. The killer brother-in-law attacked his brother-in-law thrice in succession. Monu Yadav died on the spot due to two shots in the abdomen and one on the neck. After the death, the brother-in-law picked up the injured brother-in-law by strangling his throat and threw him on the road. Seeing this incident, panic spread among the people of the area. The accused brother-in-law Neeraj, who carried out the murder, reached the GRP police station and confessed to the police that he had killed his brother-in-law.
The shopkeeper told the whole thing
The owner of the tea stall said that two people were talking for about an hour after having tea-breakfast etc. at his stall, suddenly one person started beating the other person. By the time he realized something, blood started to appear everywhere. Seeing this incident, everyone sitting at the tea stall got scared. Nobody understood anything. It was later realized that one of the men had stabbed the other man several times with a knife and then carried his body outside and dumped it about ten meters away. Verma said that the killer and the victim had tea and snacks worth around Rs 140. But he was killed before paying the money.
