Purnia Range IG Shivdeep Baman Rao Lande has resigned from his post. He announced his resignation through his Facebook post. He wrote on his Facebook page that after 18 years of service in the government post, I am resigning from this post today. During these years I considered Bihar above me and my family. I apologize for any mistakes made during my tenure as a government servant. He further wrote that today I have resigned from the Indian Police Service, but I will stay in Bihar and Bihar will be my workplace.

A few days ago, Shivdeep Lande was appointed as IG of Purnia region. He is said to have served as SP in Purnia, Araria and Munger. Has also been in charge of SP of Kishanganj and Katihar.
