A video of Shiv Sena MLA Yamini Jadhav is going viral on social media, in which she is seen distributing burqas to Muslim women. Now a political controversy has started regarding this video. His fellow ruling Bharatiya Janata Party also appeared to disagree with his video and said it does not support such appeasement politics. At the same time, Uddhav Thackeray’s party has attacked and said that Shinde Sena talks about Hindutva only for show. On one hand, these people are opposing the wearing of burkha in schools and colleges and on the other hand, they are organizing camps and distributing burkha.
The MLA from the party led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde represents the Byculla constituency in Maharashtra, a Muslim-majority area. That is why she is being accused that she is taking such a step to gain electoral advantage.
In the viral video, Jadhav is seen saying, ‘If the opposition thinks that burkha, hijab distribution is being done by Yamini Jadhav or Yashwant Jadhav (her husband and Shiv Sena leader) to win the trust of Muslims and for political gain, then this is wrong, I Not doing this for politics.

Reacting to the video, BJP’s Mumbai unit president Ashish Shelar said, “It is the prerogative of an MLA to share whatever he wants in his constituency, but the BJP does not accept the politics of appeasement.” Reacting to this video of Yamini Jadhav, spokesperson of the rival Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) Sushma Andha said, Jadhav is being targeted because he belongs to a group of turncoat MLAs who talk about Hindutva just for show.
