Meanwhile, a big statement has come from West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He said on Monday that if the police failed to solve the case by Sunday, the investigation would be handed over to the CBI. He wants the court to hear the case quickly. The Chief Minister also surrounded the Central Investigation Agency here.

Referring to some high-profile cases, he said the success rate of CBI investigations is very low. There are many such cases which the CBI has not been able to solve. The Chief Minister on Saturday demanded capital punishment for the accused in this case. Once again he has said that we will also demand death penalty. Maybe some people have forgotten how to behave in society. This kind of violence is a heinous crime.
