A heartbreaking incident of rape and murder has come to light in West Bengal’s Kolkata. A junior doctor was brutally attacked at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. The truth that has come out so far in this case has shocked people. The injuries on the victim’s body show the extent of brutality inflicted on him.

According to doctors, the rape took place when the victim was fighting for life and death. She was raped when her organs almost stopped working. The type of injury found in his genitals is called ‘perimortem’. This means injuries between life and death. This has been mentioned in the autopsy report.

The junior doctor was sleeping with a blanket in the seminar room

According to police sources, the accused reached the chest medicine seminar room around 4 am. At that time, the junior doctor was sleeping with a blanket. Taking advantage of this, the accused first attacked her body several times. Then removed the blanket. After this, when the doctor protested, he attacked.

He was grabbed by the neck and then punched in the face, stomach and chest.

The injury marks on the victim’s left cheek prove this. Nail scratches were also found on her cheeks. After the attack, the accused grabbed her throat and punched her several times on her face, stomach and chest. Due to which the victim became unconscious and the accused raped her.

There is outrage in the country over the brutality meted out to the junior doctor. The Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA) has announced a strike. Delhi AIIMS also announced a strike at 11.30 am on Monday. The resident doctors have demanded that an impartial inquiry should be conducted into the matter. CBI should be given the responsibility for this.
