Shark Tank Pakistan: ‘Shark Tank’ will also launch in Pakistan, the makers said on replicating the show

‘Shark Tank’ has now become a popular TV show. It started in the year 2001 in Japan under the name ‘Tigers of Money’. ‘UK’s Dragons’ Den’ was created on this format in 2005. This was followed by US Shark Tank in 2009. After this show it also started in India and Bangladesh. Now this show is also starting in Pakistan. Usman Malik, co-founder and CEO of Granlit Studio, has given this information.

Usman Malik said in a statement to a local publication, “We are excited to bring the tremendous success and global appeal of Shark Tank to Pakistan. This collaboration with Sony Pictures Television will not only be a milestone for Granlit Studios, but will also promote innovation and entrepreneurship in Pakistan.”

What did the creator of the show say?

Hamza Ansari, the producer of the show, has spoken about the competition between digital platforms and television. According to him, this is a time when investing money in a TV franchise can prove difficult. Ansari said, “If the show is not modified to make it watchable for local people, it will not get ratings. Due to which the ads will be reduced and the show will be canned.

According to him, bringing in an international franchise does not mean copying it exactly. He said that choosing a shark or an investor for the show was a very difficult task. However, now the shark has been finalized for this. In which the names of Rabil Waraich, Junaid Iqbal, Alina Nadeem, Roma’s grandfather are included. The team of the show is now looking for pitchers ie contestants to appear on the show. The information about when Shark Tank Pakistan will start and on which TV channel it will be telecast is yet to be revealed.
