Anand L Rai talks about Shah Rukh Khan’s favorite food
Noted Bollywood director Anand L Rai directed Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Zero’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Atrangi’ and ‘Raksha Bandhan’. Recently, in an interview, Anand shared his experience of working with both the superstars. The director also revealed about Shah Rukh and Akshay’s habits and favorite food.
Director Anand L Rai recently spoke to Mukesh Chhabra on Mashable India. In an interview, Anand said that during the shooting of ‘Zero’, he and Shahrukh often discussed what to eat in the evening after finishing the day’s shooting. What is the plan? This is used for planning. He also praised Akshay Kumar for his sensitivity and attention to his work.

During the conversation, Mukesh Chhabra showed Anand L Rai a picture of him and Shah Rukh Khan from the sets of Zero. Talking about this photo, Anand said, “Looking at this photo, it seems that we are talking about something serious about work, but it is not. “Actually, after finishing shooting, we were discussing our plans for the evening.”

After this, talking about Shah Rukh’s eating habits, Anand said, “If you give Shah Rukh three things, he will spend his entire life on these three things. If you give Shah Rukh tandoori chicken, coffee or any drink, he can always eat it. But one thing is for sure if you give them anything out of love they will eat it.
“Akshay doesn’t understand simple things”
Talking about Akshay, Anand described him as a sensitive and very focused person. The director said, “Akshay never understands things instantly. If they want a little spice in everything, then they will understand. He is a very sensitive person, but he never shows it. He wants to enjoy his every work and every moment. Whatever he has achieved in his life today is only because he is very hardworking and focused. No matter how big a star he is, he never forgets his core values.
‘Zero’ was released in the year 2018, which also featured Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, but the film flopped at the box office. After his flop, Shah Rukh took a long break and made a strong comeback in 2023 with back-to-back hits, ‘Pathan’ and the mega-blockbuster ‘Jawaan’. As for Akshay, ‘Atrangi Re’ did not do well at the box office and then Akshay’s second film with Anand, ‘Rakshabandhan’ was a semi-hit.
