The mystery of the rape-murder of a junior doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital is getting complicated. On August 9, the body of the junior doctor was found in the seminar hall of the medical college. Kolkata Police has arrested civic volunteer Sanjay Roy on charges of rape and murder, although initially Sanjay Roy admitted to the charge of murder, but during a polygraph test he said that he was dead when he reached the seminar hall.

After which the CBI is investigating this aspect whether the doctor was killed somewhere else and his body was kept in the seminar hall? The Kolkata rape case is scheduled to be heard in the Supreme Court on Monday. The CBI will submit the case and investigation report to the court.

Let us tell you that the junior doctors and the parents of the deceased are alleging conspiracy in the case of the doctor’s murder. The CBI itself has asked the Supreme Court for evidence tampering and destruction of evidence.

The CBI officials are trying to confirm whether the incident site was the seminar room or the body was taken to that room, as the photographs that have surfaced of the seminar hall show several items like the shoes of the deceased. Laptop, head, hand, sheet etc. are arranged. In such a situation, the CBI officials suspect that the lady doctor has been murdered somewhere else and the body is kept in the seminar hall.

Closed lift and broken bathroom under investigation

The CBI is also monitoring the closed lift outside the seminar room. A lift is also connected to the orthopedic department. On the seventh floor is the operation theater (OT), where OTs of various departments, including orthopedics, take place. This room does not open after 5 pm.

Its keys are kept at two places in the Authority. Was that room open? Why were closed elevators used? These matters are being investigated. According to RG Kar sources, as the investigation progresses, the orthopedic floor, seminar room floor, MDR exit, entry – all are being kept under surveillance.

Along with this, the CBI is also looking at the broken bathroom next to the seminar hall. A CBI investigation revealed that a junior doctor had taken a bath in that bathroom on the night of the incident and at that time he said that he had bled while administering OPDR to the patient. This is why he has taken a bath.
