On this issue, Dhangekar made serious allegations against the police, Excise Department Minister Shambhuraj Desai and the state government.
What did Ravindra Dhangekar say?
“This case is completely the fault of the police. The drugs are widely available. Also, such drugs are available in thousands of hotels. Such drugs are available in large quantities in the name of hookah parlours in Pune city. It is the fault of the police. The officers ignore it. The installments are closed. Such businesses run for money. Excise Minister Shambhuraj Desai supports an officer like Rajput, from whom Shambhuraj Desai takes crores of rupees, these businesses run”, alleged Ravindra Dhangekar.
“Despite our agitation, the concerned officer has not been transferred. This means that Shambhuraj Desai supports these officers. These boxes are supported by the government. These people are working to ruin our youth to use this money in politics. So all this is the fault of the police and the minister of that department Shambhuraj Desai”, Ravindra Dhangekar made a serious allegation.

“I can give you a list of how much money goes to which hotel, I have a list. I got the list last night. In that list, the police get a lot of money in the form of installments. Such narcotics are sold on the basis of their merit. Ravindra Dhangekar criticized and said that Pune Police is being defamed so much, yet people are silent due to greed for money.
“The hotels where this is happening should be closed permanently. Now the hotel operators have no fear. The bars are still open till 4 am. This pest is not gone yet. In the name of pure money and installments, this group is working to ruin the name of Pune. We will not stop without taking to the streets and demanding an account from these people. We will talk about this issue in the coming elections”, said Ravindra Dhangekar.
