A case of major irregularities has come to light in the revenue records of Uttar Pradesh’s Firozabad district. The SDM-Tehsildar posted here along with his subordinate officers have transferred 75 bighas of land in the names of their relatives. When a local came to know about the disturbance, he complained to DM Firozabad. On this complaint, the DM also handed over an inquiry to the CDO and based on their inquiry report, ordered to register a case against 19 people, including the SDM Tehsildar, and suspended five officials.

The case is from Rudheni village in Sirsaganj police station area of ​​the district. Recently the ownership of 75 Bigha land of this village changed. The land was deeded in the names of relatives of the then SDM, Tehsildar Lekhpal and two other officials. As soon as he came to know about this, a person named Yogendra Kumar complained to the district officer. It was said that the land was disputed. By taking illegal advantage, the officials have illegally transferred the ownership of this land to their relatives.

An investigation of the CDs found the allegations to be true

Not only this, the accused have cultivated standing crop in this land. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the DM immediately transferred the complaint to the CDO and ordered a proper investigation. Now the CDO investigated the matter and found that all the allegations made by Yogendra Kumar were literally true. In its report sent to the DM, the CDO held Sirsaganj SDM Vivek Rajput, Naib Tehsildar Naveen Kumar, Accountant Abhilash Singh, SDM Court Reader Pramod Kumar Shakya and Revenue Inspector Mukesh Chauhan directly responsible.

Case against 19 people including SDM Tehsildar

After completing the investigation, the CDO submitted his report to the DM. DMA has written to the government to take action against the SDM and Tehsildar. The non-gazetted officers who committed the malpractice were suspended with immediate effect. Now on the orders of the government, the DM has suspended the SDM and the tehsildar and ordered to file a case against them as well. At present, the police have registered a case against 19 people including the SDM Tehsildar and started investigating the matter.
