The traders in Baghpat demanded the implementation of lockdown.

Uttar Pradesh is currently in the grip of extreme heat and heatwave. 81 people have died in the last 24 hours. Many people are admitted to the hospital and getting their treatment. The outbreak of heatwave has created an atmosphere of fear among the people. People do not step out of the house during the day. In many districts of UP, the situation has become such that there is silent peace in the markets during the day. No activity is visible on the roads. The traders in Bagpat district have also demanded a lockdown from 11 am to 5 pm.

Officials of the All India Board of Trade and Industry in Bagpat district have written to District Magistrate Bagpat. The letter has demanded to enforce lockdown from 11 am to 5 pm citing scorching heat. Trade union officials and industrialists say that all our businesses have already come to a standstill. There was rising inflation and online shopping, but now people are not stepping out of their homes due to scorching heat.

The traders demanded the implementation of lockdown

People buy goods from markets only by 10-11 am. After this, traders are forced to sit in their shops all day till evening. Meanwhile, no customer comes to his shop to buy goods. Also due to this increasing heat, new diseases are increasing everyday and people are getting admitted to hospitals. That is why they have decided that it is better for the government or the district administration to take these measures in the interest of traders and impose a lockdown or day curfew for their safety. With this, traders will also be able to avoid the rising heat.
