A sad accident has come to light in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh. More than 30 children were injured when the balcony of a private school here collapsed. A sudden collapse of the balcony caused an uproar in the school. The injured children were immediately taken to the hospital. He has been admitted to the district hospital and a private hospital. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken note of this incident. The CM has instructed for better treatment of the injured children. DM and SP reached the spot. The school building has been sealed.
The accident occurred due to the collapse of the balcony of Oudh Academy School located in the town under Jahangirabad police station area of Barabanki district. The incident took place on Friday morning when the school children were descending from the balcony for prayers. There was overloading due to many children gathering in the balcony, which caused the balcony to collapse.
More than 30 children have been injured in this accident. All the injured children have been admitted to the hospital. District Magistrate Satyendra Kumar and Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar Singh and other senior officers reached the spot along with the police force on receiving information about the accident. A team of police administration started relief and rescue work at the spot. All the injured children have been admitted to private and district hospitals by ambulance. The district administration has sealed the school building.
According to the information, the school in which the accident took place was recognized only up to Junior High School. Even then children upto intermediate level were studying in school. The school building was also sealed earlier as it was not up to standard. But later the school management opened it with the connivance of the officials. The family alleges that everyone from the school ran away from the spot after the accident. Barabanki Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar Singh said the balcony collapsed due to the weight of the children.
