The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has termed the granting of bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as ‘Satyamev Jayate’ and a victory for truth. Along with this, AAP taunted BJP and said that this is a big slap on BJP’s face. Celebrations were held outside the residence and party headquarters and AAP workers burst firecrackers. In a post on Twitter, the Aam Aadmi Party said that truth can be disturbed, not defeated. Let us tell you that CM Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21 in a money laundering case related to excise policy. The court on Thursday granted bail to CM Kejriwal in the money laundering case related to the alleged excise scam.

The special judge also rejected the Enforcement Directorate’s prayer to stay the bail order for 48 hours to allow the central agency to file an appeal against it in the High Court. Kejriwal stayed in Tihar Jail for almost 60 days.

A big slap on BJP’s face

AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh told reporters after meeting the CM’s family that every activist is elated with the victory. We are very happy. This is a big slap on the face of BJP. If BJP has any shame left, they should close these false cases and release the jailed people.

He also alleged that the BJP’s only objective in putting Kejriwal behind bars is to end his political career and crush the AAP.

Atishi said – Satyamev Jayate

Soon after Kejriwal got bail, senior AAP leader Atishi said in a post on Instagram, ‘Satyamev Jayate’ (Truth alone prevails). Admitting its mistake, the Aam Aadmi Party said that truth cannot be defeated, it can only be harassed.

In a post on Twitter, the party said that truth can be disturbed, not defeated. Dismissing all the objections raised by BJP’s ED, the Hon’ble Court granted bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

CM Mann said victory of truth

Other party leaders also expressed similar sentiments. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Ma said after the verdict that truth has prevailed. Mann said in a post on X that faith in court – Kejriwal ji gets bail – truth has won.

Advocate Rishi Kumar, who is part of Kejriwal’s legal team, said the bail process would be completed on Friday morning and the chief minister would be out of jail by afternoon. Delhi Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that waiting till relief from the Supreme Court in the PMLA case is suffocating the entire judicial system.

Truth cannot be defeated – Raghav Chadha

He said that it is very important that the lower courts also give timely justice. Every case going to the Supreme Court was unnecessarily burdening the Supreme Court. AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha said that this is a victory for truth, a victory for justice. Heartfelt thanks to honorable court for granting bail to Kejriwal.
