Soha Ali Khan recently revealed during an interview with Cyrus Brocha, “My grandmother Sajida Sultan was the Begum of Bhopal and my grandfather was the Nawab of Pataudi. Both were in love for a long time, but my grandmother’s father was not ready for the marriage because my grandfather was a competitive athlete and my grandmother’s father was jealous of him. After this, grandfather built Pataudi Palace to impress grandmother’s father.
When we ran out of money for marble
Soha continued, “Dada built it in 1935 so that he could get married. He wanted to impress his father-in-law, but while building such a royal palace, he ran out of money for marble. That is why carpets have been laid instead of marble in many places in the palace. When you go there, you will find a lot of carpets and some of them have marble floors, but some places have ordinary cement, covered with carpets.”
This is how Saif Ali Khan became a prince
The actress said, “Saif was born in 1970, so he became a prince. When he was born, royal titles ended, making Saif a prince but I couldn’t be a princess. In this regard, I am not so royal (laughs) However, with this title comes a huge responsibility and bills.

In the same conversation, Soha continued, “I remember my mother keeping an account of the expenses of this palace. The palace is so big that it is painted white instead of being painted as it costs a little less. We haven’t brought anything new to it for a long time. “However, the architecture of this palace itself is so beautiful that there is no need to bring new things into it.”

Built by Nawab Iftekhar Ali in Haryana, this palace was earlier in the name of Saif Ali Khan’s father Mansoor Ali Khan. Now the owner of this palace is Saif Ali Khan. The palace has more than 150 rooms and is spread over an area of ​​10 acres and is worth Rs 800 crore. This palace has many rooms including drawing room, dining room, bedroom, billiards room.
