There is a government school in Bihar’s Bhagalpur district, where snakes are frequent and students are few. The school building, built even before independence, is in a dilapidated condition. The school is surrounded by forest. There are rooms inside the school, but none of the rooms have doors or windows and the rooms have benches and desks for students to sit on. Under such circumstances, less students come to study in this school, often poisonous creatures like snakes, scorpions are seen roaming around.

On the one hand, the Bihar government is trying to improve the quality of government schools, cutting the leaves of teachers and making their digital presence mandatory. However, there is no improvement in the facilities of the students. In this sequence, many parents complained about this school. After this, the team of TV9 Bharatvarsh visited the school and investigated the situation. Located in Saboor block of Bhagalpur, this school is running in the Bihar Agricultural University campus. A total of 191 children are enrolled in this school up to class 8. This school building was built even before the independence of the country and has become dilapidated due to lack of maintenance. There is no boundary wall in this school.

There are no desks and benches in the school

Due to which grazing animals come inside the school. As there are no benches and desks in the room, children have to bring carpets or mats from home to sit in school. Even the teachers who teach here are always scared seeing the condition of the school. According to Shiv Sharan, a teacher of the school, the problem has already been brought to the notice of the higher officials of the Agricultural University and the Education Department. After this, land has also been allotted separately to the university for building a school.

A snake enters the classroom

As this land is under the control of gangsters. Whenever an attempt is made to build a school, goons come and stop the work. He said that snakes, scorpions etc. are often seen roaming around the school. Sometimes even snakes enter the classroom. In such circumstances, there is a threat to the lives of teachers and students. According to Rajeev Kumar, the headmaster of the school, the school building is dilapidated and lacks basic amenities. This problem can be solved only after construction of new building.
