Atrocities on women in Cooch Behar.

Mamata Banerjee’s government is under fire for allegedly beating a woman by stripping her clothes in West Bengal’s Cooch Behar district. There has been a commotion in the politics of the state regarding this. The National Commission for Women has condemned this and directed to submit a report. On the other hand, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary has hit out at Mamata Banerjee’s government over the incident of stripping and beating a woman in Cooch Behar.

He said attacks on women, regardless of their caste, were unacceptable. The elections have been held, the results have been declared and the ruling party has won maximum seats in the state, so why is the government resorting to violence in the state? Nowhere in the country do we see such cases as seen in Bengal after the election? No one has the right to do violence against women.

Earlier there were allegations of atrocities against women in Sandeshkhali of the state and the BJP attacked the Mamata Banerjee government over this. At the same time, an incident of public beating of a boy and a girl has come to light in North Dinajpur’s Chopra.
