Giriraj Singh on Rahul Gandhi: Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Thursday made a big statement about Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. He has claimed that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wants to restore Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. He also said that the country will not accept this move.
This remark of the Union Textiles Minister has come at a time when the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha is on a tour of Jammu and Kashmir. Where the Congress leader said in the press conference that restoring the state status of Jammu and Kashmir is the priority of the Congress and India alliance. Rahul Gandhi said that the aim of the Congress is to give back their democratic rights to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
‘Congress leaders have been looking tired ever since…,’
In the year 2019, the central government abrogated Article 370 which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir. And the then state was divided into two union territories as Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Textiles Minister Singh said this while talking to PTI during the ‘Shilp Didi Mahotsav’ at Delhi Haat here.
He said, ‘This is in Rahul Gandhi’s mind. He is thinking of restoring Article 370 in Kashmir but the country will never accept it. Meanwhile, a senior BJP leader took a dig at Rahul Gandhi and said that the Congress leader is looking tired since then. Since they are asked about their ‘religion and caste’.
Congress party should clarify its stand on Article 370
The Congress is mainly demanding the restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, but has not taken a clear stand on the issue of revoking the special status. BJP General Secretary and party in-charge in JK Tarun Chugh has also targeted Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Jammu and Kashmir. He asked the Congress leader to clarify his party’s stand on Article 370 and 35A.
