Monsoon rains are continuing across the country. The heavy rains that started in the national capital Delhi on Wednesday night turned into drizzle by Thursday morning. According to the Meteorological Department, rain will continue during the day as well. A yellow alert has been issued for the next two days. Heavy rain warning has been issued in Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Teams of NDRF and SDRF have been activated in the states to deal with any natural calamity.
The Meteorological Department has declared red alert in several districts of Uttar Pradesh. A holiday has been declared in schools due to heavy rains in Itah. Himachal Pradesh is also in bad condition due to rains. Yellow alert has been issued for storm, lightning and heavy rain for two days in five districts of the state. 37 roads in the state have been closed due to bad weather. Heavy rain is likely for four days in Rajasthan. Similar is the situation in Madhya Pradesh and Haryana.
Heavy rains in Delhi, yellow alert issued
Heavy rains lashed Delhi late on Wednesday night. Many areas were flooded during the night due to heavy rain. Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, Green Park, Minto Bridge, East Delhi and Lutyens Delhi received heavy rain. Due to waterlogging at night, there was a problem in the traffic system. Vehicles had to face problems due to water logging in the underpass. Rain continued on Thursday morning. Meteorological department has announced yellow alert for two days. According to IMD, this weekend is going to be fun again for the people of Delhi weather wise.

Red and Yellow Alert in Uttar Pradesh
Heavy rains lashed several districts of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. The impact of rain was more visible in western Uttar Pradesh. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a red and orange alert for heavy rains in many districts of the state for the next 48 hours. The situation is expected to worsen in Mathura and Agra of the state. Heavy rain on Wednesday night has led to waterlogging in Mathura. Apart from this, red alert has also been issued for Thursday and Friday in Farrukhabad, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly and Shahjahanpur in the state.

Teams of NDRF and SDRF deployed
State Relief Commissioner G.S. Naveen Kumar has said that local administrative officials in the affected districts have been asked to be vigilant and ensure that this happens. He asked the teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) to be ready to deal with any emergency.
Heavy rain, storm and lightning warning in Himachal
The Meteorological Department has issued yellow alert for heavy rain, thunderstorm and lightning in five out of 12 districts of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday and Friday. According to the local meteorological department, rain is predicted in the state till September 17. Heavy rain is expected in some parts of Kinnaur, Sirmaur, Solan, Shimla and Bilaspur districts of the state.
37 roads closed, warning issued
Along with this, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding the possibility of damage to gardens, crops, weak structures and houses in Kutch. According to the State Emergency Operations Center, 37 roads in the state are closed to traffic due to bad weather. Of these, 10 roads each are closed in Mandi and Kangra, six in Shimla, four in Sirmaur, three each in Bilaspur and Kullu and one in Una district.
Lightning, rain and storm alert in Rajasthan
The situation has worsened due to heavy rains in Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility that heavy rain will continue in the state for the next few days. According to the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, monsoon activity and moderate to heavy rainfall is likely over most parts of East Rajasthan for the next three to four days. Jaipur Meteorological Center in-charge said that the period of heavy and very heavy rain is likely to continue on September 12-13 at some places in Bharatpur, Jaipur, Kota and Ajmer divisions of the state.
Heavy rains in Haryana
He said thundershowers are likely in some parts of Jodhpur, Bikaner divisions of West Rajasthan and the weather will remain mainly dry in the border areas. Haryana’s Faridabad, Gurugram, Jhajjar, Nooh, Palwal and Rewari witnessed heavy rain and thunder and lightning at some places late on Wednesday night. Monsoon is also active in the state.
