Family of Ghaziabad rape case victim
An incident of rape of a 14-year-old girl has come to light in the Link Road Police Station area of ​​Ghaziabad, in which the victim’s family has lodged a complaint with the police. Police have arrested one accused. According to the police, when the incident took place, only one accused entered the house and raped the girl. However, the victim’s family is alleging gang rape in this entire case. The victim’s family says that not just one accused but four accused came to rape her and the young child of her family saw them.
Instead of solving the case, the mystery is getting more complicated as the police say there was only one accused at the scene, while the family says there were not one but four accused. The victim’s family says the accused works as a scrap dealer in the area and had come along with his friends on the day of the incident. The accused entered the house through the back door and grabbed the 14-year-old girl while she was sleeping on a cot in the back room. She had a small child with her who was dumped there.
The family made allegations
The victim’s family members say that the accused first assaulted their daughter and then drugged her. When the girl became unconscious, the accused took her to the adjoining kitchen and raped her. After the rape, the accused ran away from the spot. But, the girl’s cousin recognized him. He told everything to his family. The child says that the accused also threatened him and said at the time of the incident that if he told anyone, his father or brother would be killed.
After the rape incident, the family members took to the streets and demanded strict action against the accused. Protests turned violent on Thursday following rumors of gang-rape. After which some shops were vandalized and rickshaws parked on the spot were set on fire. Police had to resort to baton charge to control the crowd. The family members have demanded the arrest of the accused and strict action against them.
What did the police say?
DCP Nimish Patil said that the incident of rape of the minor came to light and the accused Kabaddi Faizan was immediately arrested. The police said that the victim has stated in her statement that the accused, identified as Faizan, barged into her house and assaulted her and raped her after inhaling the narcotic substance. Suddenly there was a rumor of gangrape in the evening which enraged the protestors. The police said they are busy tracing the people who spread the gang-rape rumor and are preparing to take action against them.
