According to the Meteorological Department, light or drizzle is likely to occur in Delhi on 15th August i.e. Independence Day. IMD has issued a three-day yellow alert in Delhi-NCR due to rains. Rain may occur in some areas on Thursday. Wednesday was cloudy throughout the day. Sometimes even the sun would hide. There was light rain in the morning due to which the weather remained pleasant throughout the day. The Meteorological Department predicts that Delhi’s weather will remain like this for 4 to 5 days.

What will the weather be like in UP-Himachal and Uttarakhand?

Regarding August 15, the Uttar Pradesh Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain in Ghaziabad, Meerut, Moradabad, Aligarh, Eta, Kasganj, Balrampur, Sravasti, Sitapur, Barabanki, Saharanpur, Shamli, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Muzaffarnagar, Degpatnagar, Barabanki etc. , Gorakhpur, Sant Kabirnagar, Basti, Siddharthnagar, Gonda, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Hathras, Agra are likely to receive rain. Talking about the hill states, the rains in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand do not seem to be stopping yet. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in these states for the next 4 to 5 days. More than 140 roads are closed in Himachal Pradesh due to rain. The situation in Uttarakhand is bad. Many bridges have been washed away and mountain rivers are straining.

Weather conditions in these states

Rain is likely over Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, scattered and widespread rains may occur in Punjab, Jammu-Kashmir, Haryana, Rajasthan during the next 4-5 days. Heavy rain is likely in Rajasthan from 15th to 17th. In this, heavy rain is expected in Ajmer, Alwar, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Bikaner, Churu, Jodhpur, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Nagaur and Pali districts including Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur. Widespread to light/moderate rain is likely over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat regions.
