Rain started in Delhi-Noida and Ghaziabad from Sunday morning and continued till late evening. Electricity and water problems in some societies also troubled people due to rains. In many areas, entire roads turned into rivers, making it difficult for people to move on foot and in vehicles.

The worst situation was in Gurugram where entire areas from Hero Honda Chowk to Cyber ​​Park were completely submerged. Many roads in Gurugram, especially in residential areas, were filled with water up to knee level. This made it difficult for vehicles and people to walk. The situation is similar from Sati Chowk in Sector 85 to Shitla Mata Mandir. Water is coming inside the city buses.

Alert in many places across the country

It has been raining almost all over the country for the last two-three days. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall has been warned in most parts of the country. Due to the warning of heavy rain in states like Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Odisha, West Bengal, Jammu-Kashmir, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, the Meteorological Department has announced yellow alert. A red alert has been declared in East Rajasthan on Sunday due to rain. Orange alert has been issued for rain in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Haryana and Delhi. Orange alert is also in place for North Eastern states. Heavy to very heavy rain is likely at all these places.

Rivers overflowed, bridges washed away

Due to heavy rains, many small and big rivers of the country have been strained. Many rivers are near danger mark. Bridges across rivers are also reported to be broken at many places. According to the Meteorological Department, this rain is not going to stop now. Heavy rain is likely over North India including Delhi NCR on 12th August. It includes states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir. However, there is a possibility of getting some relief in some places from August 13.

Big tragedy in Punjab

8 people have died after a vehicle fell into Chhoti Parsati river in Jaij, Hoshiarpur, Punjab. The family was going to attend a wedding ceremony in a village in Punjab’s SBS Nagar from Una in Himachal Pradesh. There was water on the bridge causing their vehicle to drift into a small river. Members of the same family have died in the accident. Some people standing there forbade him to take the vehicle on the bridge but the driver ignored it and this led to the accident.

7 people drowned in Rajasthan

A major accident took place on Sunday in Nagla Hotta (Sri Nagar), a village in the downstream area of ​​Banganga river in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur. Due to heavy rains, the Banganga river is flowing erratically. Some people were standing on a platform built beside the river and watching the flow of the river. While watching the stream, there was a sudden gust of wind due to which some people fell into the river. Due to the strong current, the drowned people could not come out. So far 7 dead bodies have been recovered from the river.
