Passengers in the AC coach of Humsafar Express from Barauni to New Delhi beat up a railway employee on the allegation of molesting a girl. He was beaten so badly from Lucknow to Kanpur that he lost his life. The GRP at Kanpur Central rushed him to the hospital but the doctors declared him brought dead. The mother of the victim has filed a complaint of molestation against the accused deceased, while the family of the railway employee has also given a written complaint of murder to the police.
Enraged by the girl’s complaint, the passengers took the accused railway employee from Lucknow’s Aishbagh to Kanpur Central and beat him up. The deceased railway employee has been identified as Prashant Kumar. According to the information received from the Railways, on Wednesday, a family of Sivan boarded the Humsafar Express running between Samastipur and New Delhi. His 11-year-old daughter was also with him. Railway employees present in the train molested her.
Put the girl in her seat
According to GRP, the 11-year-old daughter of a family traveling in the M-1 coach was seated on her seat by Prashant Kumar, a railway employee present in the train, at 11.30 pm on Wednesday. It is alleged that when the girl’s mother went to the toilet at night, Prashant molested the girl. Seeing this, she started crying, due to which the accused scared her. Here, when the mother came back from the toilet, the victim girl told her the whole story while crying.
Anger among family members due to molestation of daughter
The mother along with her husband and father-in-law informed the passengers of the coach about the incident. Due to which the angry passengers and family members grabbed the railway employee. The enraged people started beating Prashant for molesting the girl. When they started beating her, the train had reached Aishbagh in Lucknow. The passengers took the accused to the gallery and kicked and punched him and then came to Kanpur Central. The victim’s family informed the railway control about the incident.
Railway employee dies due to beating
As soon as the train reached platform number seven of Kanpur Central at 4.35 am on Wednesday, the police took the accused employee into custody and took him to the police station. The victim’s mother and family also reached the police station. The police started the action based on the mother’s complaint. The GRP sent Prashant, who was seriously injured due to the beating, for medical treatment at KPM, where doctors declared him brought dead. This information was given to the family members of the deceased. He has accused the police of murder.
