In Chhattisgarh, a case of wife rape after the death of her husband has come to light. The whole matter belongs to Raigad district. After the death of a person, his last rites were performed here. Two hours after the funeral, all the family members returned home. Meanwhile, this person’s wife disappeared from home at night. The family searched around for her but she was nowhere to be found. When family members went to the crematorium, they found the woman’s slippers, saree and glasses near her husband’s funeral pyre. The family members reported this to the police station. The police reached the spot and conducted an investigation.
This entire case is from Chitkapani village in Chakradhar Nagar police station area. Jaydev Gupta, a resident of the village, died of cancer a day ago. Jaidev Gupta used to work as a tailor. He died last Sunday, July 14 at 10 am during treatment at Raigad Medical College. Jaydev’s family performed Jaydev’s last rites in the crematorium at 4 pm on the same day and everyone returned home at 6 pm.
Wife’s slippers, glasses and saree were found near the funeral pyre
Jaidev Gupta’s wife Gulapi Gupta went missing from home around 10 pm. Due to the non-existence of Gulapi Gupta, there was a commotion in the whole house. The family began searching for Gulapi, but she was nowhere to be found. The whole family became worried as Gulapi was not found. Family members reached the crematorium looking for Gulapi. There I saw pink slippers, glasses and a saree kept near the cheetah.
Police registered a missing complaint
The family suspects that Gulabi committed suicide by jumping into a pyre. Gradually, the news spread throughout the village that a woman, saddened by the death of her husband, committed suicide by jumping into the funeral pyre. The family members and villagers informed Chakradhar Nagar police station about the incident. The police reached the spot and conducted an investigation. Police say that the matter is being investigated. Missing complaint of woman Gulapi has been registered.
