Passengers traveling in Delhi Metro will not have to wait in long queues for tickets. Now soon passengers will be able to book metro tickets for their destination up to 120 days in advance. Passengers will get booking facility through Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited’s website and app. In such a situation, it will be easier for passengers to travel in the most congested area of Delhi.

An agreement has been signed between IRCTC, DMRC and CRIS to implement this process. This move will strengthen the government’s vision of One India One Ticket. Currently, a beta version of the ticket in the form of a QR code has been launched. Passengers traveling in Delhi Metro can make their booking through DMRC QR code on IRCTC website and Android version of mobile app.

When can you book 120 days in advance?

QR code based ticketing system has not been fully launched by DMRC yet. Apart from this beta version, when it is fully launched, like Indian Railways, it will also have the facility to book tickets 120 days in advance. After this arrangement, if passengers have to cancel their tickets for any reason, they can also cancel the tickets. Coming of DMRC QR code will provide a lot of convenience to the passengers, so that they do not have to stand in long queues.
