Questions raised on Rahul Gandhi’s claim, Martyr Agniveer’s family accepted – received financial assistance of 98 lakhs

Khanna martyr Agniveer Ajay’s father of Ramgarh Sardaran village in Punjab admitted that he has received financial assistance of Rs 98 lakh from the Indian Army so far. After the statement of martyr Agniveer’s family, questions have been raised on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s claim. Rahul Gandhi mentioned Punjab fireman Ajay Kumar during his speech in Parliament. He claimed that his family did not get any financial help after Agniveer’s martyrdom. In this regard, Rahul Gandhi also shared a video of the martyr’s father on his social media platform.

But now it has been found that the claim of giving 98 lakh rupees from the army in this whole matter is true. Agniveer Ajay’s father Charanjit Singh admitted that he had earlier received Rs 48 lakh from the Army and later received Rs 50 lakh more as financial assistance.

Although the family is still demanding that their son should be given the status of a martyr and the Agniveer Yojana should be cancelled, the Indian Army has informed through a tweet that Ajay’s family will receive an assistance of Rs 98 lakh. It is true that around Rs. 67 lakhs further assistance is in process.

Martyr’s family got 98 lakh rupees

Shaheed’s father said that Rs 48 lakh had entered his other account, while Rs 50 lakh had entered another account a few days ago, which he was not aware of earlier. When the account was checked, it was found that Rs 50 lakh more had been sent by the army.

The martyr’s father Charanjit Singh said that Rajnath Singh is right in this whole matter while Rahul Gandhi also said nothing wrong. Earlier he knew that he would get only 48 lakh rupees, but now 50 lakh rupees have arrived in his other account and the army has assured that around 60 lakh rupees will be sent soon. Ajay’s father said that there should be no politics over his son’s martyrdom.

Army claims to provide financial assistance

The statement of ADG PI of Indian Army has come out in this matter. It said that some posts on social media revealed that compensation has not been paid to the family members of Agniveer Ajay Kumar, who lost his life in the line of duty.

ADGPI said that the Indian Army salutes the great sacrifice of Agniveer Ajay Kumar. 98.39 lakh rupees have been paid to the family of Agniveer Ajay.

ADG PI said that financial assistance and other benefits of around Rs 67 lakh will be paid after police verification as per the provisions of Agniveer Yojana. The total amount will be around Rs 1.65 crore. The statement emphasized that the families of the martyred soldiers, including Agniveer, should be given financial assistance at the earliest.
