Punjab Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal
Punjab’s Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal has made a big announcement to stop illegal migration to the state and increase basic facilities for NRIs. He has said that the Kerala model will be adopted for this. During his stay in Kerala, the minister praised the laws and regulations of the state. Here he also studied the successful initiatives of the NORCA (Non-Resident Citizens Affairs) department.
Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that the Punjab government will set up a dedicated agency through NORCA to regularize migration and provide assistance to Punjabi NRIs. This agency will monitor illegal migration. Safe and legal migration will be promoted. It will focus on providing welfare services to NRIs and increasing employment opportunities along with skill development.

NORCA (Non-Resident Keralites Affairs), a field agency of the department, is actively implementing various government schemes and welfare initiatives for the benefit of the overseas community. The field agency is working tirelessly to provide the migrant community with the benefit of various government programs and services.
