Bhagwant Maan Government of Punjab is making continuous efforts to raise the standard of living of the students in the state. On the instructions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Dr. Baljit Kaur released funds for free text books for the welfare of Scheduled Caste students.

Punjab Minister of Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the state government has provided free textbooks to scheduled caste students at Rs. 39.69 crore has been released.

Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that while the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is working for the welfare of other sections, it is making every possible effort to educate the scheduled caste children of the state.

Committed to improving the standard of living of poor students

The Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities said that the amount has been released under the scheme to provide free textbooks to Scheduled Caste students from Class 1 to 10. This amount will be spent only and only for the purpose for which the amount is released.

He further said that the government is committed to the development and upliftment of the standard of living of the students, so the students will not face any problem of funding in their studies.
