A Muslim youth from the Sangam city of Prayagraj has been taken hostage in Thailand. After which the family has appealed to the central government for the release of the youth. The victim’s name is Jia Panjtan. On behalf of her sister Kaniz, she has appealed to the Indian High Commission as well as the Central Government to help her brother’s release. He has appealed for help via email.
Kiniz said that the last call came from his brother Jia on Monday. Meanwhile, he said that he was brought from the hotel and kept at an unknown place and demanded Rs 22 lakh for his release. The sister said that after saying this her phone was disconnected and she could not be contacted again. After this call from Jia, her family members are very worried. Due to this, help has been requested from the Central Government and the Indian High Commission.
Went to Thailand for a job
Jia’s sister Kaniz said her brother went to Dubai for work two years ago. Meanwhile, he got a job offer in a Chinese company and was called for a job in Thailand. Kanij said that on July 10, Bhai returned to Hyderabad from Dubai and from there went to Thailand on July 11. After reaching Bangkok on July 13, the brother spoke to family members and said he had reached a hotel and was accompanied by 5 more people.

According to the sister, Jia’s phone was switched off on July 14. Meanwhile, on the night of July 22, his brother received a call on WhatsApp. Meanwhile, he said that he is being held hostage at an unknown place and is demanding Rs 22 lakh in exchange for his release. The family members are scared and want to bring Jia back safely, for which they have sought help from the government.
