The Minority Welfare Department has also swung into action after a fake currency manufacturing factory was caught in Atarasuiya area of Prayagraj. District Minority Welfare Officer Krishna Murari said the management has canceled the registration of the madrasas by writing to the Assistant Registrar Firms Societies and Chits to take action against the madrasas caught on charges of making fake currency while indulging in anti-national activities. A letter has been sent to the committee to take action to cancel the unrecognized madrassas.

What is said in the letter?

The letter sent by the District Minority Welfare Officer has asked that the Registration and Management Committee of Madrasa Jamia Habibia Society Anjuman Jania Habibia Prayagraj be cancelled, so that the activities of the Madrasas which are doing illegal activities cannot be continued. The printing of fake notes was going on in a room on the premises of Madrasa Jamia Habibia Masjid, after which the police raided and arrested four accused with a bundle of fake notes printed there. The police have taken legal action against him and sent him to jail. In this regard, a letter has been sent to the Assistant Registrar to take action to cancel the registration of the madrasa.

Continuous monitoring will be done

District Minority Welfare Officer Krishna Murari also said that after the arrest of the madrasa cleric and others who were caught on charges of printing fake notes, the District Minority Welfare Department will continue to monitor them. He said that madrasa clerics used the premises for anti-national activities and printed fake notes and sold them in the market. After that, this illegal madrassa will be continuously monitored by the department.

This will provide information about the legal and illegal activities going on there. He said that there are 204 recognized madrasas in Prayagraj district, while there are 72 madrasas which are not recognized and are not getting any kind of government assistance.
