Alop Shankari Temple Prayagraj
The impact of the Tirupati temple ladu controversy is now being felt in temples across the country. In this order, offering sweets to God has been banned in many big temples of Prayagraj. Along with this provision has been made that if a devotee wants to offer food then home made prasad or fruits and flowers can be offered to the Lord. Apart from the famous Shaktipeeth Alop Shankari and Lalita Devi Temple in Prayagraj, the system has also been implemented in the Bade Hanumanji and Mankameswar Mahadev temples with immediate effect.
It is planned to be implemented in other temples soon. According to Shivmurat Mishra, head priest of Lalita Devi temple, a meeting of priests was held in this regard on Tuesday itself. The meeting discussed the Laddu controversy that arose in the Tirupati temple. As it is a matter of faith, it is not right to trust any sweets seller regarding adulteration. Here too there is a strong possibility of making laddoos or sweets in adulterated ghee. So it was decided that now instead of offering sweets to God, jaggery, gram, fruit, flower, coconut or prasad prepared at home in holy condition can also be offered to God.
Prasad of fruits will also be offered in the Mankameshwar temple
He said that in this order there is also a plan to start a shop within the temple premises where pure sweets can be found for offering. Similarly, Yamuna Puri Maharaj, chief conservator of Alop Shankari temple and secretary of Panchayati Akhara Mahanirvani, said that the offering of sweets inside the temple is strictly prohibited. Mahant Sridharananda Brahmachariji Maharaj of Mankameswar temple has also banned the offering of sweets in the temple. He has written to the DM requesting him to provide pure Ladu Peda for Prasad.
Bajrangbali will now be served with jaggery and gram.
Similarly, Mahant Balbir Giri Maharaj of the Bade Hanumanji Temple said that now gram prasad will be offered to Bajrangbali. After the completion of the corridor under construction for the temple, the work of making Ladu Peda for Bajrang Bali will be started in the campus itself. Let us tell you that a statement by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu has created a commotion across the country. CM Naidu said that Tirupati temple’s laddu prasad was prepared in fatty ghee. After his statement, temples across the country have started efforts to stop the use of sweets in worshiping God.
