Sanjay Nirupam said on Avimukteswarananda Saraswati’s statement.
After the visit of Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteswarananda Saraswati and Uddhav Thackeray of Jyotish Peeth on Monday, the politics of Maharashtra has heated up over the statement of Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteswarananda Saraswati. Now Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) leader Sanjay Nirupam has reacted to his statement. He said that politics is not Shankaracharya’s domain. He should refrain from making any statement in this regard.
Shankaracharya Avimukteswarananda Saraswati met Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray on Monday and said Thackeray was a victim of betrayal. Sanjay Nirupam did not like this, he said on Tuesday, I want Shankaracharya to speak on religion and spirituality and guide us. You are our chaplain. But don’t talk politics. This is not their area of work.
Sanjay Raut’s response to Nirupam’s statement
Reacting, Nirupam further said that Uddhav Thackeray’s alliance with the Congress and the Undivided Nationalist Congress Party was a betrayal. And if it was not treachery it was a political decision taken to fulfill one’s ambitions. However, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut hit back at Nirupam’s statement and said that if anyone objects to Shankaracharya’s statement, it means that he does not believe in Hindutva.
Avimukteswarananda Saraswati did not attend the Jeevan Abhishek ceremony.
After meeting Thackeray at his residence Matoshree in Bandra, Mumbai, Swami Avimukteswarananda Saraswati said that Uddhav Thackeray had been betrayed and many people were upset over this. He further said that the suffering of the people will be removed only when he becomes the Chief Minister again. Let us tell you that Avimukteswarananda Saraswati refused to go to the consecration ceremony of Ramlala in the newly constructed Ram temple in Ayodhya in January this year.
