There has been an uproar over the installation of name plates in Himachal Pradesh on the lines of the Yogi government of UP. Congress Minority Commission Chairman Imran Pratapgarhi has met Rahul Gandhi on this issue. Imran has expressed his displeasure on the issue of Himachal. According to sources, now Imran Pratapgarhi has been asked to remain silent on this issue, so that the controversy does not escalate.

Vikramaditya’s announcement creates uproar in Congress

Vikramaditya announced the implementation of the policy in Himachal while sharing the Yogi government’s decision on social media. This angered many Congress leaders. Congress also distanced itself from it. After an all-party meeting and formation of a committee, Vikramaditya briefed the government on 25 September about the next step. He announced that shopkeepers in the state will have to display their identity cards in their shops. He said, we have decided to make it mandatory for street vendors to display identity cards issued by the Street Vendor Committee. This identity card will be issued on the lines of the exercise being done by the Uttar Pradesh government.
