Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Chandra Pawar) chief Sharad Pawar has questioned the encounter of the accused in the Badlapur case.
Politics has heated up over the encounter of Akshay Shinde, the main accused in the case of sexual exploitation of minor girls in Maharashtra’s Badlapur. It is being told that after firing at the police, the police confronted him in self-defence. The opposition has besieged the government over the encounter and alleged a conspiracy behind it. Shinde has been confronted for pressing the matter. While NC Sharad Chand Pawar chief Sharad Pawar as well as several opposition leaders reacted to the incident, government and ruling party leaders also came to the rescue.
On the encounter, Sharad Pawar said that the injustice done to the two children in Badlapur should have been under the purview of the appropriate law, but the laxity shown by the Home Department in transferring the main accused in the incident is questionable. The government seems to be weak in giving fear of law so that no one can even think of such a reprehensible act in future, hope a thorough investigation of this incident will reveal the situation.
Leader of opposition Vijay Vatti said – there is an attempt to save the rest.
Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Vijay Vatti War said that there was negligence in the Badlapur incident from the very beginning, first trying to save the accused and then the people associated with the school. Now efforts are being made to eliminate the accused and save the people connected with this case. We know that the matter will not be properly investigated. So we demand a judicial inquiry into the matter. If the government does not agree, we will go to court.
Sharad Pawar group leader Jayant Patil said the police are saying that the Badlapur accused shot himself with a police gun. If the accused were interrogated, the organization would have been in trouble, to protect which they are not even registering an FIR. If he starts talking, the police station officials are in trouble. For this the encounter was planned so that there was no discussion. They may also have such a strategy. These are very skilled people.
Congress leader Nana Patole also asked many questions
Congress state president Nana Patole has also raised questions on the encounter incident by tweeting. He said school trustees have not been arrested in Badlapur rape case, they are still absconding, why are they not arrested yet? Is there an attempt to end the case by encountering the main accused to save the absconding accused? Is this incident staged to suppress the matter? The truth of the encounter should come out, it should be probed by a High Court judge.
The former chief minister said – this is a very serious matter
On the encounter, Congress leader and former CM Prithviraj Chavan said that the police stories were changing one after the other, first saying that he tried to kill himself, then saying that it was an encounter, then saying that. That he would attack the police. Whose encounter is it? Encounters take place between terrorists and underworld criminals. It seems that maybe the police are trying to protect someone in a high position. This is a very serious matter.
The CM said- this action was taken in self-defence
Amidst the opposition’s questions, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also came to the rescue. He said that he (Akshay Shinde) was taken for investigation as his ex-wife filed a case of sexual harassment. He fired at policeman Nilesh More, who was injured and has been hospitalized. Police are at the scene. This action was taken in self-defense. Complete information will come out after investigation.
Deputy CM said- Opposition questions everything
At the same time, state deputy CM and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis said that the accused’s ex-wife has lodged a complaint against him. In the same case, the police was taking the accused on transit remand, but the accused grabbed the policeman’s gun and fired, injuring the policeman. To save themselves, the police retaliated in which Akshay Shinde was shot and killed.
He said that the opposition questions everything. The same opposition was demanding capital punishment some time ago, now if the accused opened fire on the police, will the police protect themselves or not? Let us tell you that Devendra Fadnavis is responsible for Home Ministry in Maharashtra.
