There has been a sensational revelation in the case of rape and murder at RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata. Speaking to the media along with junior doctors who were on strike on Wednesday, the victim’s father said that the police hastily cremated the body and offered him a bribe to keep him calm.
He alleged that since the police was trying to close the case from the beginning, we were not allowed to see the body before the post-mortem. When the body was handed over to us, a senior police officer offered us money, which we promptly refused.
