Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday through video conference for Maharashtra Rs. will launch various projects worth over 11,200 crores. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said on Saturday that PM Modi will inaugurate the Pune Metro section from Zilla Court to Swargate and will complete the Pune Metro Rail Project (Phase-1) with it.
The underground section between District Court and Swargate will cost approximately Rs. 1,810 crores. The PMO said that Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of Pune Metro Phase-I from Swargate to Katraj extension. For this approximately Rs. 2,955 crore will be spent. This southern section of approximately 5.46 km is completely underground with three stations namely Market Yard, Padmavati and Katraj.
The Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation the transformational project Bidkin Industrial Area covering an area of ​​7,855 acres under the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme. It is located 20 kilometers south of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra.
The PMO said that the project, developed under the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor, has immense potential as a vibrant economic center in the Marathwada region. The central government has approved the project for development in three phases with a total project cost of over Rs 6,400 crore.
Modi will inaugurate the Solapur Airport, which will significantly improve connectivity and make Solapur more accessible to tourists, business travelers and investors. According to the PMO, the existing terminal building at Solapur has been renovated to serve approximately 4.1 lakh passengers annually. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule’s first girls’ school memorial in Bhidewada.
