Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the country’s first Vande Metro service on Monday during his two-day visit to Gujarat. An official gave this information. Western Railway (Ahmedabad Division) Public Relations Officer Pradeep Sharma said on Saturday that the Ahmedabad-Bhuj Vande Metro train is fully unreserved and air-conditioned. He said that passengers will be able to buy tickets from the counter shortly before the departure of the train.
He said, ‘The train has seating for 1,150 passengers while 2,058 passengers will be able to travel standing. Western Railway conducted trial testing of this metro train earlier this week. According to Western Railway officials, the Ahmedabad-Bhuj Vande metro train will stop at 9 stations. Vande Metro will run at a speed of 110 km per hour. This train will cover a distance of 360 km in 5 hours 45 minutes.
PM 6 will also give green signal to Vande Bharat train
Pradeep Sharma said that the Vande Metro train will depart from Bhuj at 5.05 am and reach Ahmedabad Junction at 10.50 am. Vande Metro is modeled on India’s indigenous semi-high-speed train Vande. Each coach will be fully air-conditioned. Vande Metro trains are equipped with anti-collision system (armor) along with other advanced features.
