In 2021, the central government launched an initiative for unorganized sector workers, which has benefited thousands of people. E-Shram, the national database portal for unorganized sector workers, has surpassed the target of 30 million registrations in a period of three years. The Ministry of Labour said on Monday that this achievement highlights the government’s commitment towards social impact and support for unorganized workers across the country. The Ministry of Labour and Employment launched the e-Shram portal on August 26, 2021.
This achievement was accomplished in three years.
According to the statement, within three years of its launch, more than 30 million unorganized workers have registered on this portal. This shows that unorganized workers are adopting it rapidly and widely. The government wants to establish the e-Shram portal as a one-stop solution platform for unorganized workers in the country. In the budget speech for the financial year 2024-25, it was said that the e-Shram portal would be established as a single tax clearance service fully integrated with other portals.

After a few days of registration on the e-Shram portal, the card of daily wage earners and labourers is made. Under this portal, all the workers in the country are connected on a single platform. For this reason, if the Central Government starts any scheme in the future, it will provide benefits to the registered labourers and workers with the help of this portal. At present, an accident insurance of Rs 2 lakh is offered to those who register on it.

After this, enter your mobile number and OTP. After this, fill the e-shram card form and submit it. After this your registration process will be completed.
