The opposition staged the first major protest in the first session of the Parliament session. The opposition boycotted the panel of interim president. All three members of Bharat Aghadi boycotted the panel of interim president (pro tem speaker). Congress’s Suresh, TMC’s Sudip Bandopadhyay and DMK’s TR Balu boycotted the panel.

New panel again after the presidential election

Speaker Draupadi Murmu K. Suresh, Sudip Bandopadhyay and TR Balu were also appointed in the panel of Protem Speaker. But these three decided to boycott it. The three members of the Protem Speaker’s panel will not assist the Protem Speaker. They will not administer oath to the new MPs. This panel has been formed only to administer oath to the new MPs. A new panel will be formed again after the election of the Lok Sabha Speaker.
