Jharkhand student dies in Odisha
Anup Chand Ram, a resident of Ravidas Mohalla, Doranda, Jharkhand’s capital, Ranchi, had a dream that his 19-year-old son Abhishek Ravi would become an engineer and bring glory to the family and the country. Abhishek worked hard for this and finally got admission in Odisha’s Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER) College, but then something happened that broke the family apart.
On September 10, Abhishek Ravi took admission in an engineering college. It was his birthday on 12th September, family members kept calling and texting but Abhishek didn’t answer. Abhishek’s family and friends thought that he might be busy with studies so he did not pick up the phone. The very next day i.e. on 13th September, the college management received a call from Abhishek’s father Anup Chand Ram that his son had met with an accident.
Management said that Abhishek fell down the stairs
The college management told Abhishek’s father Anup that his son Abhishek had fallen down the stairs. The news of Abhishek’s death reached the family members before they reached there. Abhishek’s father and sisters who reached the college saw the situation there and told the college management and the local police station that it was not an accident or an accident but that Abhishek was killed in the name of ragging. The family alleged that the college management was trying to make the murder case look like an accident to cover it up.

Let us tell you that the Chief Minister of the state, Hemant Soren, posted on social media about this matter and also requested to take strict action against the culprits in this case. According to information, Abhishek was the youngest of four children of Anup Chandra Ram and Manju Devi, residents of Ravidas Mohalla, Doranda, Ranchi. He has three sisters. The family had a dream that their only son would become an engineer. The entire family is stunned when their son Abhishek dies under suspicious circumstances just three days after taking admission in an engineering college.
Family accused of murder
Born on 12 September 2005, Abhishek Ravi passed his 10th standard examination from Bishop School, Bahu Bazar, Ranchi, while he passed his 12th standard examination from Guru Nanak School, Ranchi. After clearing the engineering entrance exam, he took admission in computer science at Odisha Institute of Technical Education and Research. He first reached the college on 10th September and died under suspicious circumstances on 13th September. The family members also alleged that being the son of a Dalit, he was killed in the name of ragging. The college management is covering up the whole matter. His postmortem report was also not given to the family. The family has requested the CBI to investigate the entire matter.
