Aadhaar Update: Aadhar card Only two days are left for the update. Due to security reasons, the government has given instructions to update 10 year old Aadhaar cards. The government has made this appeal to prevent misuse of Aadhaar cards. Now if you want to update your Aadhaar card, you can do it for free sitting at home. But now only two days are left for this.

The government has given a deadline of June 14. If you update your Aadhaar card online before June 14, you will not be charged any fee. You can update your Aadhaar for free. But after June 14, you will have to pay a fee of Rs 50.

UIDAI tweeted about Aadhaar update on X. To update the address you have to upload two documents named Proof of Identity and Proof of Address.

If you have updated your Aadhaar name and address from a different Common Service Center i.e. CSC, then you will have to pay a fee of Rs 50. But if you update Aadhaar through myAadhaar portal, then this service will be completely free.

To update Aadhaar information, you need to visit the official website of UIDAI https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/. After logging in and entering the name, gender, date of birth and address details, you need to tap on the Update Aadhaar Online option.

To update Aadhaar, a one-time password (OTP) will be sent to your registered mobile number. Then a scanned copy of the document and fingerprint and Irish scan and new address details will be asked. After this you have to click on the ‘Submit’ button.
