CM Mohan Yadav planting trees
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Saturday launched a massive tree plantation drive named Mother Tree. Meanwhile, he said that in Indian culture, one tree is considered as important as ten sons. Considering plants as well as rivers, mountains etc. as alive is a symbol of our sensitive cultural tradition. On the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a decision has been taken to plant trees widely in the state as part of a Peed Ma Ka Nam campaign being run across the country. He said that in this order the aim is to plant 5 crore 50 lakh saplings in the state.
The Chief Minister said that under this campaign, 51 lakh saplings will be planted in Indore and 12 lakh each in Bhopal and Jabalpur districts. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the “Ek Pad Ma Ke Naam – Massive Tree Plantation” program organized at the Jamboree Ground. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the campaign by planting Amla trees and lit the lamp of the stage program. Before this he also observed the pictures made by the students regarding the awareness about environment preservation.
Today, in Ujjain, the city of Baba Mahakal, participated in the inauguration of Kapila Gaushala Promotion Program and “Ek Pad Maa Ke Naam” campaign, planted saplings and worshiped Mother Cow. Enthusiasm of students in tree plantation is admirable
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav remembered Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his birth anniversary and said that Dr. Mukherjee played an important role in warning the country by predicting the British conspiracy of disintegration and Kashmir problem. Appreciating the active participation of students, voluntary organizations, NCC, NSS in the tree plantation campaign, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that people across the state are enthusiastic about tree plantation and are coming forward to plant trees themselves.
One lakh 20 thousand saplings will be planted in Bhopal
Mayor Malti Rai said that the Bhopal Municipal Corporation has decided to plant one lakh 20 thousand saplings under the massive tree plantation drive. In today’s campaign, 26001 saplings are being planted with public participation. He said that for the protection of water sources, Chief Minister Dr. Under Jal Ganga Abhiyan launched on Yadav’s initiative, 128 silt dumpers were removed from 12 reservoirs of Bhopal city and 54 wavs and 42 wells were protected.
