Country’s first transgender inspector
You must have heard that poem… A boat does not cross for fear of waves, those who try never fail. This is not just poetry but the truth of many people’s lives. Hard work takes time but the fruits are very sweet. In this society everyone has to fight a battle, but sometimes this battle to prove oneself has to be fought against one’s own people and this battle teaches the right way to live. The result of the examination conducted for the post of Sub Inspector in Bihar Police was declared on Tuesday. The most special joy in this joy of passing the exam was that of Madhu Manvi Kashyap, whose name was included in the last announced list.
But why is this happiness so different? So much so that Madhu’s identity story is also different. Madhu Manavi has become the first transgender woman in the country to clear the examination for the post of inspector. Madhu, who till yesterday was identified as a transgender woman, today became the country’s first woman transgender inspector. There is no simple story behind this success of Madhu. The difficulty of achieving success through struggle increases until one has to simultaneously fight against time, society and system to fulfill one’s dreams. Madhu says that coming from Banka to Patna and getting a new identity after coming here was not that easy.
Madhu came to Patna two years ago
Talking about her story, Madhu said that she came to Patna about two years ago. At that time the thought came that something good should be done, but at that time he did not think of what to do. When I went to some coaching institutes in Patna to talk about coaching, they refused to coach me. His thinking was that if someone was transgender conducting a class, it would affect other kids, which the people in those coaching institutes might not want. Madhu says in the meantime I met Guru Rehman, who runs Adamya Aditi Gurukul. I told him everything.
Madhu used to coach five-six hours a day
After hearing the whole thing he told me that you will study under his coaching and at the same time he tickled my forehead. From that day my world changed. I used to coach for five to six hours every day. After this, whatever doubts arose, she tried to remove them. Today the result is in front of the whole world. When asked how was society and family’s attitude towards him, Madhu says I can’t say anything special about society but family’s attitude towards me was good.
A message to our society
Madhu further said that today my father Narendra Pratap Singh is not in this world to see my success, but my maternal uncle Mala Devi is very happy. Madhu, who is the fourth of five siblings, says she is lucky that her family members supported her. However, at first he was also against it, but later he agreed. She says that when I came to Guru Rahman for coaching, all the students took selfies with me. Even today he is taking selfies with me, but there is a time difference between the two. Madhu says my thinking is that people of my society should think to do something different, because success comes only by thinking. The success I have got today is the same change I want to see in my society.
Madhu became the country’s first transgender inspector
Manavi Madhu Kashyap, a resident of a small village, has become the country’s first transgender inspector. For the first time, three transgenders have become sub-inspectors or inspectors in Bihar Police. Of these three, two are transmen and one is transwoman. Hearing this good news Manavi’s face lit up with happiness and she was feeling very proud. Manvi said that first of all I would like to thank Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Guru Rehman Sir who left no stone unturned to take me here.
